Puente la Reina lies between Pamplona and Estella on the Way of St. James pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. It is the first town after the junction of the French Way (Spanish: Camino Francés), the most popular route, and Aragonese Way. Queen Muniadona, wife of King Sancho III was the queen who gave her name to the town. She built the six-arched bridge (42°40′16″N 1°49′07″W / 42.671117°N 1.818736°W) over the Río Arga for the use of pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela along the Camino de Santiago.
Very popular albergue with 100 beds. There is a small kitchen, a common room/dining area with seating, laundry facilities with a covered area to dry clothes and a a lovely garden. Highly recommended.
Albergue normalito con servicios limpios. Tiene una terraza exterior, pero no un espacio común interior. La cena en el restaurante de abajo del albergue bastante floja.
